fun game quick fix that it needs is that you can actually delete your 3 star things by merging them and it just deletes one of your things instead of giving a level 4

Some feedback:

  • The UI covers some of the mining area, but you can see it while in combat.
  • Enemy scaling is really slow (maybe an auto-play button, for once you complete your base, so you don’t have to click end/start day).
  • I think having finite resources is good, so you can’t keep upgrading your base forever.
  • It gets a bit laggy in the endgame (at least in browser).
  • Clicking the UI, while over a building, selects the building underneath.

Overall, very fun game! Can’t wait for more content!

I had a great time with the demo, a combination of classic tower defense with Dome Keeper-esque planning feels very good.

Got some bugs I found, for efficiency I got all three of them in one screenshot:
1. You can drill past the surface and ores still generate in the air. You can't place drills or mines there, though.

2. You can place tiles disconnected from the main structure if they're connected to the mid-air ores. You can place turrets in these tiles.

3. A tier 3 Advanced Drill skips over the first tile without clearing it. [And before you ask, this also happens underground.]

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the bug report, we'll look into it!

I want to be able to upgrade Hans' mustache

Really fun little demo! The core gameplay loop feels very satisfying, somewhat reminiscent of 'the king is watching', while still holding as a unique take on the genre.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the game takes with new content and systems, I'll be wish listing on steam once you put it up!

Two issues to report with the build also:

One is collected ores sometimes get stuck mid-animation and remain on screen for the rest of the session. Couldn't 100% recreate it, but seems to occur when quickly going from day to day.

The other is performance drops on higher waves, or higher speed settings (running in browser.) Its hard to tell, but it might also be the case that performance drops effect the simulation outcome. If I set speed to higher levels on wave 50+, the game would drop lots of frames and the weapons seemed to be firing less than if I would let it run normal speed. May be worth checking if any of the simulation is tied to framerate.

Best of luck with the project!

Wow you got far! Thanks for playing and reporting the bugs, they're noted!

The speedup code will definitely have to be revised haha, it was janked into the game pretty early on in the fastest way possible (literally making time flow faster) so thanks on that front too ^^

I recreated this glitch by moving the mine while its in the animatio

Stamp of approval. This is gonna be great. Being able to move the camera up and down would be awesome, UI can probably be more minimal and more opaque so it doesn't feel as vision blocking. Good luck for the Steam version!

thank you so much for the praise and the feedback, we're very excited to continue working on it! (and my inner fangirl is absolutely dying haha)

Very fun game, i love TD games

Is there an upload of the music anywhere? It's really nice.

Also, weird little bug with the ore bits. Firefox browser.

Isn't there a problem with buffs stacking?

And its by far not my "best" turret, but others are not readable due to overlapping values.

Very nice game! Awful for my productivity, though XD
I really like the management aspect by carefully placing both weapons and miners
Can't wait to see this game on Steam!

Thanks, glad you liked it! Steam page should be up soon 👀

Can’t lose XD, also the End Day UI has some issues. When in fullscreen mode, the UI becomes misaligned. image.png

Awesome build! Thanks for the tip, we'll look into it!

Really fun game! Not sure why Hans is there but I like Hans! The only issue I have is that I can't find the game on Steam :(

Oh and btw when you start a new game and you hover over the base it says "hello this is a very long sentence and it should wrap" prob shouldn't be there anymore  ;)

Glad you like it! You're right, the Steam page isnt up yet, that one's on us, but it will be soon! Thanks for the bug report, we'll look into it.

five. hundred. cigarettes. machine guns.

waiter, waiter, more attack speed please!!!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. I seem to have run into an unfortunate bug where two of my miners disappeared between rounds, unless there's some sort of durability mechanic I'm missing.

Fun game, pretty simple but that's okay.  Put three fire rate buffs  and a damage buff next to a heavy cannon, and it pretty much ate up everything at that point.  The exponential income system is interesting but it's going to be hard to balance; I didn't have any trouble but if I did having invested slightly more resources earlier into mining would have been the right decision.  As it was I stopped mining around wave 11 or so since there isn't really too much to spend the enormous income I had on besides making the tower pretty.

2 things: first off why tf cant we have overlappng areas?
Like I have currently L and X shaped area pieces, so my upper area is full of 1 or 2 block holes cause the game wont jsut allow me to use such a piece to fill in the spots (like use an X piece, even though just 2 block area would be covered and the rest would be jsut wasted on already unlocked area.)

2. being able to rotate pieces , like the L shaped piece, would make things also MUCH more easier and nicer!

Otherwise good game!
after a certain point, it becomes jsut hoping for a good piece in the next round, if possible, first add area, then add mahcine gun.
cause the actual combat is either your guns doing their job right (manually aiming likely wouldnt bring much benefit and not be worth the hassle).or be too weak and game over anyways.

Also why TF do my machine guns keep disappearing?

I know I got a shit ton of them by now but I place like a few new ones on the right and when I scroll out, suddely there are gaps on the left side where previously there were mahcine guns.
Is there some shitty limit where you can only have a certain total amount of something before it starts removing old ones when you place new ones?

sucks!

There isn't any hard caps on how many buildings you can place so you've probably run into a bug. Thanks for reporting it!

Do the "ghost guns" still shoot or do they phase from existence alltogether when you zoom out?

Cheers :)

This happens during "building phase".
I have the camera on the right area where I place turrets, then I move baclk towards the left side and suddenly see gaps in the placement where I knew that I had already placed guns.

So I place guns once again.
Just annoying that I have to double check areas where I had already been

Heya, thank you for playing ^^ and the feedback.

I'm not quite sure I understand point 2 as you can rotate held buildings with 'R' or by scrolling with the mouse -> or did it not work for you? (And it could definitely use more communication, it seems to be missed regularly)

Oh sorry I totally overlooked that in the instrutions.
Has that always been written there? :O

this is too fan!

very addictive!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Gameplay and Critique :)

Fun little game. I will say that there seems to be a cumulative effect of the fire rate buff that gets very silly very quick. I don't know what causes it, but it results in things like this:

(+1)

Wow! I dont think anyone got this far before!

(+1)

Once the fire rate bug kicked in and almost crashed the game with the number of bullets at around wave 30, it was just a matter of ending the day over and over.

And your build is absurdly low cost too ! Congrats on breaking the game haha

(+1)

Pretty good; can't read text on the default browser size though. Perhaps a little too easy. I would also say that the receiving of mined ores after a combat round is a bit too slow, especially when reaching large mine sizes. I was also missing an option to flip the shape, but that might be a balance consideration.

Enjoyable experience.

(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the balancing is a bit off at the moment, we'll keep it in mind ^^

I like the atmosphere and the style of the blocks that adapts to still look like a city!

It's simple and cool. Even for a demo it's already a tiny game.

Thanks alot!
